Dr. Orlando C. Moreno is a Board-Certified Physician with nearly five decades of medical experience, specializing in internal medicine, geriatrics, and primary care. He currently serves as a Principal Investigator at Atlantis Clinical Research, where he oversees Phase II–IV clinical trials.
His therapeutic expertise spans a broad range of areas, including infectious diseases, digestive system diseases, respiratory and lung disorders, cardiovascular health, endocrinology, musculoskeletal conditions, women’s health, dermatology, and vaccine research. Dr. Moreno has participated in government- and industry-sponsored studies in lung cancer screening, colorectal cancer screening, and gastrointestinal disease management.
Dr. Moreno maintains an active Florida medical license (MD90254, exp. 2026) and has completed FDA-focused GCP training through the CITI Program (valid until April 2025). His leadership ensures strict adherence to Good Clinical Practice, patient safety, and regulatory compliance across all studies conducted at Atlantis Clinical Research.
Dr. Rodny Muñoz Pérez is a Board-Certified Neurologist and Medical Director with more than 20 years of experience in hospital and outpatient neurology, neurocritical care, and clinical research. He currently serves as Medical Director of Atlantis Health Clinic and Principal Investigator at Atlantis Clinical Research, while also practicing Neurology at Baptist Hospital in Kendall, Miami.
Dr. Muñoz has extensive clinical research experience, including leadership in Phase I–III neurology and neuroimmunology trials. His work spans dementia research, myasthenia gravis, epilepsy, cerebrovascular disease, neurocritical care, and Alzheimer’s disease, with collaborations involving major sponsors such as Sanofi, COUR Pharmaceuticals, Frontier, Exact Sciences, and Transform. He has also contributed to landmark global research projects, including the 10/66 Dementia Research Group, and to U.S.-based neurotrauma trials with the University of Pittsburgh.
In addition to his clinical and research roles, Dr. Muñoz is an active academic contributor, with peer-reviewed publications, conference abstracts, and book chapters, including authorship in The Epilepsy Prescriber’s Guide to Antiepileptic Drugs (Cambridge University Press). He has received national academic and research awards, including Cuba’s highest distinction for medical graduates.

Dr. Leivy Alvarado Miranda is a bilingual physician with over 15 years of experience in diverse healthcare settings, including family medicine, internal medicine, and surgery. She currently serves as Principal Investigator and Sub-Investigator at Atlantis Clinical Research, where she leads and supports multiple Phase I–III trials across therapeutic areas.
Her clinical research expertise includes oncology (lung and colorectal cancer screening), dermatology (eczema), cardiovascular disease, neurology (myasthenia gravis), and vaccines (pneumococcal). Dr. Alvarado has worked with major sponsors such as Sanofi, COUR Pharmaceuticals, Frontier, Exact Sciences, and Transform, and is experienced with central IRBs including WCG/Connexus.
Dr. Alvarado is also the Medical Director at Sanitas Medical Centers and has previously held leadership roles with CareMax. She is licensed to practice medicine in Florida (ME157769) and is certified in GCP (NIDA), HIPAA, OSHA, and BLS. Fluent in English and Spanish, she brings strong leadership, patient-centered care, and regulatory compliance expertise to every study.
Laritza Lincheta Enriquez is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of clinical experience spanning hospital medicine, gastroenterology, primary care, research management, and academia. She serves as Manager and Sub-Investigator at Atlantis Clinical Research and as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Atlantis Health Clinic.
Her extensive research background includes coordination and sub-investigator roles in more than 25 clinical studies across gastroenterology, hepatology, neurology, and oncology. This includes trials in Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, gastroparesis, NASH, GERD, colorectal cancer screening, and infectious disease. She has collaborated with major sponsors such as Eli Lilly, Janssen, Celgene, Arena, and Exact Sciences, and worked with CROs including Parexel and IQVIA.
Laritza is highly experienced in site management, regulatory submissions, and central IRB processes (WCG/Connexus, Advarra, Quorum, Sterling). She is fluent in English and Spanish, holds advanced certifications in GCP, ACLS, HIPAA, OSHA, and Dangerous Goods Training, and is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates.
Marelys Torres Abreu is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of clinical experience in hospitals, gastroenterology, and primary care. She serves as a Sub-Investigator at Atlantis Clinical Research and a Primary Care Provider at Atlantis Health Clinic.
Her background includes more than 10 years in the gastroenterology field, where she gained advanced skills in GI procedures, cancer screening, and clinical research, including lung cancer and colorectal cancer validation studies. Marelys is experienced in regulatory processes and has worked with central IRBs such as WCG/Connexus.
She holds certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), GCP (NIDA), OSHA, and HIPAA, and maintains active membership in the American Association of Nurse Practitioners .

Laura is a Clinical Research Coordinator at Atlantis Clinical Research with more than 5 years of experience in clinical and basic science research. Her expertise spans patient screening, regulatory compliance, phlebotomy, blood sample processing, data analysis, and scientific writing.
She has supported industry- and investigator-led studies in cardiology, neurology, oncology, dermatology, and vaccine development, including Phase I–III trials in coronary artery disease, myasthenia gravis, lung and colorectal cancer screening, and eczema. Laura has also conducted basic science research in prostate and RAS-driven cancers, presenting at multiple national symposia (AACR, NE Science Symposium, SURF) and contributing to peer-reviewed publications in Redox Biology and Molecular Cancer Therapeutics.
She holds certifications in GCP (NIDA), EMT, BLS, OSHA, HIPAA, Dangerous Goods Handling, and Phlebotomy, and is fluent in English and Spanish. Laura’s combination of emergency medical training and research expertise ensures high standards of patient safety, regulatory compliance, and data integrity across all studies.
Reinaldo is a Clinical Research Coordinator at Atlantis Clinical Research with a strong background in psychology, case management, and patient advocacy. He brings over 15 years of experience across healthcare, community services, and aviation security, with demonstrated expertise in interviewing, onboarding, care coordination, and multidisciplinary team collaboration.
At Atlantis Clinical Research, he supports Phase II–III studies in cancer screening and gastrointestinal disease, including lung and colorectal cancer protocols. He is experienced with sponsor systems, regulatory compliance, and central IRB submissions.
Reinaldo holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Matanzas, Cuba, and a diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management. He is certified in GCP (NIDA), HIPAA, OSHA, and ACLS, and is fluent in Spanish, English, Czech, Slovak, and German. His combination of clinical research training and case management skills ensures strong patient engagement and operational efficiency across studies.
